WHO
WE ARE
We are local and seasonal residents and concerned citizens committed to promoting and maintaining our beautiful Ridgway State Park.
LEADERSHIP
Board of Directors
As a legally established not-for-profit organization, Friends of Ridgway State Park is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of 7 members of the local community. The Board oversees the finances and activities of the Organization and helps drive overall strategy.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership of Friends of Ridgway State Park is primarily comprised of local and seasonal residents of our surrounding communities. While many of our members are also registered CPW volunteers, there is no requirement to volunteer in order to be a member. If you enjoy hiking, camping, fishing or wildlife viewing, if you are enthusiastic about maintaining our Park and ensuring these activities are available for future generations, membership is right for you!

Over the years, Friends of Ridgway State Park membership has ranged from 10 to approximately 50 members, and includes 3 lifetime members. Members are notified by email when there are opportunities for involvement such as work parties, annual picnics, pot luck get togethers, or Park projects. Members can participate in as many or as few activities as desired based on their interests and availability. Volunteer hours are tabulated through CPW Connect. After volunteering 40 hours in any given year, the volunteer is awarded an annual Colorado State Park Pass.

Member of the Friends of Ridgway State Park make lasting friendships with Park staff, fellow members and volunteers, and community members.
PARTNERS
Friends of Ridgway State Park is a separate and distinct legal entity from Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Ridgway State Park. However, we work together with Park staff and are closely aligned with the goals for Ridgway State Park as determined by the Park Manager and CPW. Other entities with which we have a strong working relationship include local school districts, the Audubon Society, Tri-County Water Conservancy, and the United States Bureau of Reclamation. Achieving our goals would be difficult, if not impossible, without these supportive connections and alliances.
